Building Administrator

Dr. Ruba Al-Serhan has worn many hats in her 25 years in education, from classroom teacher for preschool to high school, ESOL coordinator and teacher, instructional coach and administrator. 

She is driven by the belief that every student is capable and deserving of the opportunity to reach their full potential. She is a strong advocate of lifelong learning, purposeful play, critical thinking and positive social emotional skills.

Dr. Al-Serhan holds a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, a master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English Speakers of Other Languages) and a doctorate in educational leadership with an additional social justice certificate. 

She is excited to collaborate with the dedicated staff, supportive families and vibrant Cheviot and Westwood communities to ensure each child at Rising Stars has the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
