Preschool

We recognize that all children can learn and that preschool children learn primarily through playful interaction with people and objects. Our programs provide nurturing environments to stimulate children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.

We encourage creative exploration with a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities that are age-appropriate and designed to foster appreciation of diverse cultures. Our programs recognize the home and community as valuable resources, and parents as a child's first teacher. The curriculum incorporates the Ohio Early Learning Standards into the daily learning experience.

Preschool helps children:

  • Use new words
  • Care for themselves and belongings
  • Express themselves
  • Care for living things
  • Learn to play fair
  • Notice differences
  • Think of others
  • Protect themselves
